London Edwards began My Little Dish in late 2001. Shortly after 9/11 when many Americans were craving traditional things in their lives, she was searching for her own way to appreciate the small things and create special memories for her children.
It all began with an idea for a dinner plate. London’s husband. Patrick, had received a set of hand made, personalized plates as a child from a very dear aunt. These plastic plates were being used by her boys and began to show some wear and tear. London adored the idea and decided she wanted to make them their very own plates to use and pass down. The original Prayer PlateTM was born. An adorable childrens dish with a prayer inscribed around the rim. Meant to teach children a variety of dinner prayers. The company’s original line proved to be a big hit among retailers and even launched a major licensing program with a national giftware company.
After an overwhelming response to her creations, London has taken My Little Dish from a one product concept to a complete line of children’s hand painted dishes and casual dinnerware pieces. Her creations have become a treasured gift to give for Birthdays, Baptisms and for many new mommies.
London lives in Nashville, TN with her husband and three sons.
